ST HELEN’S CELEBRATES ITS DIVERSITY
The cultural diversity of St Helen’s is certainly something that has grown significantly since our founding in 1899 and as a school we are proud of the diversity found within our community today.

To celebrate this, we hosted a Cultural Diversity Celebration over the course of Thursday 15 February and Friday 16 February. The concept behind this two-day celebration was conceived and championed by our own students who were passionate about holding an event to recognise and celebrate the rich cultural diversity represented at St Helen’s. Mrs Varma and Mr Walter, with the support of several members of staff and students, pulled together a jampacked and exciting programme of activities which ran over the two days and showcased the incredible diversity found within our community.

From Indian dancing and Gaelic football, to Chinese crafts, Russian language tasters, foreign film screenings, book readings and world cheese tasting there was a world of cultures on display highlighting the rich tapestry of our school community.

Thank you to all the staff and students who proudly showcased their various cultures and customs over the two days. We are already looking forward to next years showcase.
