Pupils at St Leonards have enjoyed a bite of the Big Apple's theatre heartland.18 students aged 12-18 travelled to New York to take in the magic of Broadway and immerse themselves in the culture of one of the world's most famous cities.
During the four day trip which is organised bi-annually by the School the youngsters attended performances of 'Peter and the Star Catcher' and 'Ghost', and took part in special workshops on stage combat and musical singing.
St Leonards Music teacher Fiona Love led the group.
She said, 'The New York trip offers our students a fantastic opportunity to experience Broadway, work at close quarters with theatre professionals and see a show in one of the great theatre centres of the world.
'The pupils all got something out of the workshops, which were taken by Broadway professionals.'
During their stay, the St Leonards party also managed to take in some of NYC's other famed attractions as they visited the Empire State Building, toured Radio City, and viewed the Statue of Liberty.
'They really enjoyed the shows but they also loved the cultural experience of being in New York, which is a hugely exciting place to visit,' added Fiona.
