World Book Day

Last Friday, we celebrated World Book Day in true Prep School style – with stories, costumes, creativity and even a photo arch on the playground to capture the fun! From Nursery to Year 6, every child (and staff member!) had the chance to dress up as a favourite character and dive into the wonderful world of books.

The day kicked off with a Super Hoot Assembly, followed by an epic whole school drone shot – capturing all our brilliant book characters in one big moment!

Throughout the day, pupils got stuck into:

🎨 Art inspired by stories
✍️ Creative writing activities
🎭 Drama sessions that brought favourite characters to life
📚 Story sharing between year groups – younger and older children reading together

There was even a visit from a beekeeping parent, weaving stories and nature into a buzzing session for our younger pupils! It was a great celebration of imagination and reading – proving once again that a good book can take you anywhere.
