Prestigious National Recognition

Published by St Nicholas' School on Tuesday 7th of January 2025

As the Spring Term begins, St Nicholas’ School is delighted to share the exciting news of being ranked 6th nationally in The Times Parent Power league tables for independent schools without a Sixth Form. This prestigious accolade sets an inspiring tone for the new year and reflects the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the dedication of its talented pupils and staff.

The Parent Power league tables, published annually by The Times and The Sunday Times, are widely regarded as the definitive guide to Britain’s top schools. These rankings evaluate academic performance at GCSE and A Level across the country, highlighting institutions that excel in delivering outstanding results. St Nicholas’ School’s high placement is a testament to the school’s focus on nurturing potential and fostering success at every level.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Dr Olwen Wright, Headmistress at St Nicholas’ School. “This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of our entire school community. Our dedicated teachers, hardworking pupils, and supportive parents have all played a crucial role in securing this milestone. It is a fantastic way to start the new year and the Spring Term.

We warmly invite families interested in joining our school to experience our vibrant community and outstanding facilities at one of our upcoming Open Mornings: Friday 7th February (Senior School), Friday 28th February (Nursery, Infant and Junior School), and Saturday 8th March (Whole School).”
