All of the 103 Hazlegrove pupils who entered the Verse and Prose, Public Speaking, Acting and Devised examinations achieved a distinction or merit. The LAMDA examinations are a combination of performance and questions, which benefit the children in everyday life.

Hazlegrove's Speech and Drama Teacher, Emma de la Poer was delighted with the results and said, 'I am pleased to report that all children achieved outstanding results. Duo and solo LAMDA examinations at Grade 4 and 5 are the same ability level as a GCSE (9-4 ) under the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Within this framework the children have done particularly well. Passes are awarded for 50% , Merits for 65% and Distinctions for 80% .
