Holme Grange School celebrate another year of exceptional GCSE and BTEC results.

Holme Grange School proudly announces another year of outstanding GCSE and BTEC results for Year 11 students. With an impressive 94% overall pass rate with 42% of all grades representing the pinnacle of academic achievement, the school continues to surpass national averages, further establishing itself as a leading institution for personalised, high-quality education.

"Holme Grange is a school of academic excellence, and these results reflect our unwavering commitment to helping every student strive to be the very best they can be," said Claire Robinson, Head of Holme Grange School. "Students are encouraged to be bold, brave, and to believe in themselves, and the success achieved in their GCSEs is a testament to that. Each student is more than just a grade on a piece of paper. For one student, a Grade 4 may represent as much effort and determination as a Grade 9 does for another. The grades do not define our students, but they do illustrate the incredible success they have achieved on their unique journey. Every grade is celebrated, as behind each one is a story of hard work, perseverance, and personal growth."

This year has been filled with inspiring achievements across a wide range of subjects. Whether it was a Year 9 student excelling in Maths with a Grade 9 GCSE two years early, or the two Year 10 students securing impressive Grade 8 and 9 results in Computer Science a year ahead of schedule, our students have demonstrated both commitment and passion for learning. We are equally proud of the students in Year 10 who achieved a Grade 9 in Turkish and French. Our Year 11 pupils who took Further Maths as an additional GCSE achieved a 100% pass rate, with 56% awarded Grades 7 to 9.

Holme Grange, as a non-selective school, prides itself on offering a broad curriculum, and this year's results are a testament to the strength and depth of education across all subject areas. In the sciences, students achieved a 100% pass rate in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with 72% of Chemistry students, 78% of Physics students, and 50% of Biology students earning the highest grades. Language students also excelled, with 100% pass rates across French, German, and Spanish. Notably, 83% of our French students, 60% of our Spanish students, and 25% of our German students achieved the highest grades.

The creative arts and humanities were also a cause for celebration, with 100% of our Music students receiving Distinction grades and 33% of Drama students gaining the top grades. In Geography, History, and Religious Studies, 57%, 37%, and 44% of students, respectively, earned the highest grades. In PE, 100% of students passed with 41% achieving the top grades, while our Food GCSE students gained a 100% pass rate with 39% of grades at the highest level. Computer Science also shone, with 100% pass rates and 39% achieving the highest grades.

"We are, of course, immensely proud of those who have reached the highest grades, with so many students gaining top marks in all the examinations they sat," Claire Robinson added. "But we are equally proud of every student who has worked diligently, some overcoming challenges and all achieving their personal best. These results show that with determination, self-belief, and the right attitude, all of our students have the capacity to reach their full potential. Well done to every one of them."

"This success reflects not only the abilities of the students but also the dedication and support of our exceptional staff," Claire Robinson emphasised. "I would like to thank the entire Holme Grange community for its unwavering commitment to nurturing the whole child—developing their talents, character, and sense of purpose."

Exams Officer and Former Head of Eaton Grange, Christine Kennedy stated ‘I am so proud of all of our students. They have worked hard and shown such maturity and resilience in their studies. They have been rewarded with excellent results and are now ready to move on to the next stage of their education with confidence and success. I wish them all well in the future and know that they will continue to achieve well and be successful as they grow and become the great citizens of the future that Holme Grange always strives to nurture. Well done to them all!’

These GCSE results represent the culmination of many months of effort, and they highlight the strength of Holme Grange’s broad curriculum. We are proud of our students not only for their excellent grades but for their personal growth, resilience, and positivity. Their futures are bright, and we look forward to seeing all they will continue to achieve.
