GCSE Triumph – Bancroft’s Pupils Celebrate a Year of Rising Results

Published by Bancroft's School on Thursday 22nd of August 2024

2024 has been an exceptionally strong year for results at Bancroft’s, with 77% of our pupils’ GCSEs being graded 9-8 (equivalent of the old A*) and 91% achieving grades 9-7 (A*/A equivalent). The 9-8 and 9-7 pass rates represent the highest performance in GCSE exams at Bancroft’s for several years, now that national grading standards have fully returned to pre-pandemic levels.

Incoming Head, Alex Frazer, commented:

Huge credit to them all for the hard work they have put into these fantastic results, and to their teachers, whose skill and support have enabled them to do their best. This year-group can look forward with great confidence to an exciting and fulfilling journey through the Bancroft’s Sixth Form.”
