King's Bruton student wins role in National Youth Music production

After two rounds of highly competitive auditions, Toby Stevenson, a Year 11 student from King's Bruton, was offered a role in the National Youth Music Theatre's production of The Dreaming, a musical written by Howard Goodall and based on A Midsummer Night's Dream. The production is part of the International Youth Arts Festival at the Rose Theatre, Kingston during the week of July 16-21. According to the director of the NYMT , the standard of auditions this year was remarkably high and gaining a place with the company represented a remarkable achievement.Earlier in the year, Toby had also won a part in a West End show with Little Britain comedian Matt Lucas. He performed in the NYMT's concert, hosted by Matt Lucas, at the Vaudeville Theatre.
