Exclusive First Release of Student Produced Songs

Published by St Mary's Calne on Thursday 18th of July 2024

Last September, six girls signed up to the newly launched one-to-one Music Production lessons with Mr Allard at St Mary’s. And what a year it’s been!

Mia W. (UVI), Lettie F. (UVI), Mia T. (UV), Hermione B. (LV), Yumi O. (MIV) and Ellie T. (LIV) have all written, recorded and produced their own amazing songs. The production of each is at various stages of completion, but Mr Allard has been incredibly impressed with the talent demonstrated in each song.

While most of these songs are solo projects, collaboration has been encouraged and utilised. The girls do not have to sing their own songs if singing is not their forte!

This is an exclusive e-Lily release of these songs but expect Spotify releases soon!

Song list...
Verify by Mia W. (with Lettie F. on vocals)
Don’t You Know by Lettie F.
Vertigo by Mia T.
Stronger by Hermione B.
Lovefool by Yumi O.
Trouble by Ellie T.

Please do have a listen to the songs, and if your daughter would like to take Music Production lessons from September 2024, please email Mrs Black for details. jblack@stmaryscalne.org

More about Music Production lessons: These one-to-one lessons offer you the opportunity to progress from writing a few lyrics to a song, to turning it into a professional-sounding, studio quality recording. From learning how to record vocals, instruments, and programming MIDI, to producing and mixing using an industry-standard Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), you can take your songs from ideas to reality and become a recording artist!

Music Production exams from Grade 1 to 8 are also available for those who wish to follow this route.
