The Arts at Dallington

Both the performing arts of music and drama – and the visual arts – play a large part in the life of children at our school.
In music and drama lessons children have the time and space to play; the opportunity to develop new skills and experiment with ideas, taking creative risks in a safe and nurturing environment. Visual Arts are fully integrated into all aspects of the work that children produce, illustrating diaries and creative writing pieces, as well as 3D work constructing models as part of topic work. As part of their exploration of art, children frequently visit museums and galleries to see different artists’ styles, By the end of their time with us, we hope we have imparted a love and appreciation of art in all its varied genres, and taught children important graphic skills.
