Mid Somerset Festival 2024

Many congratulations to all of our ensembles and soloists who have been participating in the Mid Somerset Festival this term. With performers from across both the Prep and Senior Schools, we saw some incredible performances and well deserved honours and placings!

Our Prep performers had some stunning results, with our first ever ‘Outstanding’ which was awarded to our Excellence Programme Vocal Group. Our Excellence Programme chamber musicians also achieved a first with their own arrangement for saxophone, clarinet, violin & electric guitar.

All Year 5 & 6 were awarded a Distinction and First Place at the Primary Music Day with their superb performance of the Jitterbug Scene from the Wizard of Oz. The Expressive Arts Club performed a fantastic piece of mime and many of our pupils were placed in their individual categories after a host of fabulous performances.

Our Senior pupils performed in categories from Solo Acting and Shakespeare to Musical Theatre and Brass, all achieving highly, with many placing in their categories.

Our Parent Community also had their first outing at the Festival and were awarded second place with a Distinction.
