British Milano Nationals
Published by Tormead School on Tuesday 9th of April 2024
Another fantastic weekend for the Tormead gymnasts this week. Five teams went to Stoke-on-Trent to compete in the British Milano Schools National Finals and were absolutely amazing! Schools from across the country who won their regional championships came together to compete for the national title.
Our U11 team went home with a clean sweep, winning the British team title, the British regional girls title, the British regional team title and Gracie also won the individual highest scoring girl award. Congratulations Gracie, Aimee, Sasha and Maddy.
The U13 and U16 teams came across some tough competition in their age groups however, they still went home with some national titles. U13s Isabella, Amelie and Jess came third as a team, won the British regional girls title and came second in the British regional team. Sienna, Niamh and Maggie came fourth in their age group but still managed to take home second place in the British regional girls team and won the British regional team category.
Finally, Emily, Leonie, Isabelle, Georgia, Ava, Tyler and Annabel all went to compete in the U19 age group. Emily, Leonie and Isabelle won their British team title and Georgia, Ava, Tyler and Annabel came fifth place in a tough age category which was one above their competitive age group.
Congratulations to all the gymnasts; we could not be more proud of the girls’ results.
Also, good luck this weekend to all our participation, development and bridge gymnasts who are competing at Tormead Championships on Saturday 16 March.
