Oxford Group Deputy Head’s Conference

On Thursday we welcomed 24 Deputy Heads from the Oxford Group to the Deputy Heads’ Conference, hosted by Cheam. The conference brought together leaders to network, share best practice, and discuss current topics in schools. The group also heard from two prominent guest speakers: Dr Helen Wright, LSC Education, who spoke on Leadership and Mentoring, and Johan Jensen from All-in Education who spoke on Diversity and Inclusion.

The conference was a wonderful opportunity for the group to look at the strategies, approaches, and practices in our prep schools, with a chance to reflect, deepen collaborative relationships and hopefully return back to school feeling refreshed and inspired. Our Year 8 pupils thoroughly enjoyed talking with the Deputy Heads when they gave tours of Cheam. The Nest, our well-being centre was a particular area of interest. Our thanks to Helen and Johan for their thought provoking and informative talks. What a great start to 2024!
