Festive Fun

On Saturday each house did their own activity. Highlands did some Christmas crafts, Walker decorated Christmas cupcakes and Turner had their turn for puppy yoga.
On Sunday morning we woke up, got dressed and went to breakfast. After baked beans and scrambled eggs we collected our packed lunches (baguettes, crisps, satsumas and a chocolate bar) ready for our trip to Waddesdon Manor Christmas Fair. We got on the coach and arrived after about an hour. It was raining when we arrived but fortunately our first stop was a tour around the house itself. We really enjoyed looking at the collection of paintings and each room was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees with each room based around a different fairy tale. Our next activity was a craft activity and lunch. We all decorated a bauble with Christmas designs such as snowmen, Christmas trees and reindeers. Once we had finished we packed them carefully in our bags so that we can take them home at the end of term.
It was then time to visit the Christmas Market. There were lots of stalls selling some beautiful candles, scarves, ornaments and purses as well as sweets and hot chocolate. We spent a long time carefully choosing some lovely Christmas presents before buying ourselves some dinner from the food stalls. We ate our food whilst watching the light show on the side of the house. We finished our visit with a walk around the Christmas light trail, the paths were filled with colourful lights and patterns.
On the way back to school we all talked and laughed about the fantastic day we had at Waddesdon Manor.
