Act Of Remembrance

As part of our work on "Conflict" in Form 7 Engish, we visited Brookwood Military Cemetery for our annual English and History visit and Act of Remembrance. Mr Swan told the stories of some of those who are buried there, having died in service in both World Wars and Mr Thompson shared a selection of soldiers' first hand accounts and poetry about their war experiences. Pupils have subsequently had the opportunity to write their own war poems. Ben laid a cross on behalf of the school to EJA Needham OA, who died at sea in 1942.
