Ambitious Upper Sixth Student Izzy Bate Receives Rowing Scholarship in Florida!

Congratulations to Upper Sixth student, Izabelle Bate who has gained a Rowing Scholarship to the University of Central Florida where she will study Pre-Medicine!

Izzy came to Carmel from Tower College and studies Chemistry, Biology and Maths. She started rowing at Warrington Rowing Club whilst at School and competed in a quad last year where they successfully reached the quarter finals at Henley Women’s Regatta. Due to their successful season they pre-qualified for Henley Royal Regatta!

Izzy is currently training at Agecroft Rowing Club with the Great Britain Start programme and has been supported by our Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) alongside studying for her A Levels.
