A successful weekend of debate for Lingfield MUN
On Saturday 7th of October, the Lingfield MUN delegation had the pleasure of attending REIMUN 27, at Reigate Grammer School, accompanied by Mrs van der Merwe and Mr Gaunt. We started the day at 07:45, working on resolutions in committee, and then debating a crisis situation in General Assembly until 17:00 in the evening.
Our Secretary General, Cormac, found the conference was "an incredible display from the younger members from our school, highlighting our prosperous future".
Whilst our Deputy Secretary General, Miko, commented on "the high level of effort and exemplary work ethic shown by Lingfield MUN delegates", in addition to this, Miko was "delighted with the skill and interest shown by new members of the club, particularly those in year 11, who each wrote their own opening speech, and resolution, presenting their enthusiasm for MUN".
Mrs van der Merwe stated that "it was very smoothly run, and she "was very proud of the committees".
Louis, who participated in the SOCHUM committee, claimed he was "Probably the most enthusiastic and engaged I have been in a long time".
Well done to all the following for attending:

From chairing the committee in ECOFIN, to discussing the question of abortion in SOCHUM, all delegates had an amazing time, and would like to thank Mrs Halling- Brown, Mrs van der Merwe and Mr Gaunt for ensuring that everyone had a splendid time at the conference.
On behalf of the Lingfield MUN delegation, we can't wait to attend more conferences in the future, and look forward to what the future has in store for us! We hope to see plenty more 'fruitful debate' at our own Lingfield MUN Conference on December 2nd.
