Science Week 2023

Our Science Department organised a number of demonstrations for our Year 9 pupils as part of Science Week 2023.
The department organised 12 demonstrations of various experiments from Elephant's Toothpaste, an eliciting Whoosh Bottle, Exploding Custard Powder and a big bang from a Hydrogen and Oxygen balloon.
The pictures below show Bernoulli's Principal with hairdryers moving a ping pong ball through the air, Exploding Custard Powder, Playing Music with Fruit and The Van De Graaff generator removing electrons to produce a positive charge on its dome and flying pots into the air!
Year 9 had a lot of fun participating in and watching these experiments. Thank you to all the science staff for putting on this fantastic display as part of Science Week 2023!
