Students Visit Tate Liverpool Art Gallery

Year 6 visited Tate Liverpool to support their Arts Award Explore earlier this week.

Having researched Tate Liverpool, the pupils were excited to find art from artists they have only ever seen online or in books. 

They also toured the Turner Prize shortlisted artist gallery and voted for their favourite. The winner is being announced on 7 December 2022, so we will watching that one closely!

The children thoroughly enjoyed the trip, being surprised at how interesting the art works were, which included whole room installations, with sculpture, video projections with audio - 'not just boring old paintings!’.
