Rising Star Award For Alexa

One of our Year 4 pupils, Alexa, is celebrating after winning the Rising Star Award at this year’s Henley Youth Festival.

Alexa, alongside a group of girls from other local schools, created their dance crew called ‘Colour Crew’. After two practice sessions, where they displayed wonderful choreography and collaboration skills, they performed in the Young Performer concert at Kenton Theatre on Thursday 9th March, winning the Rising Star Award!

Speaking about Colour Crew’s performance, judges said;

“This dance was full of energy and it really made us smile. The lifts were excellent and very daring! Very good musicality and staying in time together. It was really lovely to see you all having so much fun on stage and working together.”
