Active Planet Discovery Topic For Year 4

Year 4 erupted into their new Discovery unit Active Planet last week.

Working in groups, the children used incredible collaboration and communication skills to build a volcano using newspaper, masking tape, Mud Roc and paint. Once complete, they were able to use a mixture of ingredients to erupt them!

Year 4 have all the answers about how and why these ingredients cause an explosion - feel free to ask!

The students also learnt about the layers inside a volcano and we able to enjoy it in cake form too! Special thanks to Olivia & Wills!

The wonderful Mrs Bagnall also kindly volunteered her time to talk to our Prep School children about climbing mountains in Ecuador and the children had the delight of meeting her new son Clement. Not only did she teach us lots of amazing new knowledge but we were all left inspired by her incredible risk taking and sheer determination to succeed!
