Netball and Hockey Tour to Jersey

On Friday 14th October, 39 girls arrived in Jersey for a weekend full of Hockey, Netball and activities. Over the course of the weekend, girls from 1st to 5th form played two matches of Hockey and Netball across two days. The fixtures were against the representative Jersey side, made up of the best players from the island. The girls battled hard against very strong opposition and were able to learn valuable lessons from these games.Aside from Hockey and Netball, the girls enjoyed a trip to Jersey Zoo, an evening of bowling and an afternoon at Valley Adventure where the girls got to test their bravery on the high ropes, their teamwork on the create stack and their agility and power on the climbing wall. The girls also spent time exploring the town of St. Helier and got to have some time on St. Brelade Bay.
The trip was a real chance for our younger girls to step up and show off their skills and ability and it was lovely to see the girls mix between ages and teams resulting in an amazing experience for all girls on the trip.
A huge thank you to Jersey Hockey club and Jersey Netball club for being so welcoming and accommodating to us throughout the weekend and the biggest thanks must go to our very own Mrs Fitch, who without her hard work and hours of organisation, this trip would not have been the success it was.
