St Benedict’s School in Ealing has launched a new on-line payment system for pupils called sQuid. This will initially be used for Senior School catering payments but the plan is to extend its use to the Junior School and also encompass other online payments in due course. The very busy and successful Catering department at the school serves around one thousand three hundred pupils and staff - from breakfast in the morning, through morning break snacks and a full lunch to refreshments after school. The introduction of sQuid will make life a lot easier for parents, pupils and catering staff. Apart from being a more convenient way for parents to pay, sQuid will also allow them to view what snacks their child is purchasing. Catering Manager Nick Cave commented: “Our philosophy in the catering department is to educate and encourage children to make healthy food choices. The new sQuid technology will allow parents to help us achieve that.”
