Godolphin Vocal Ensemble in BBC Songs of Praise Senior School Choir of the Year 2014 semi-finals

Congratulations to the Godolphin Vocal Ensemble who have been placed in the top six senior school choirs in the BBC Songs of Praise Senior School Choir of the Year competition for 2014.

Six schools Godolphin, The Rochester Grammar School from Kent, Lincoln Minster School, The Grey Coat Hospital School from London, 'Cantabile' from Hereford Cathedral School and Highgate School from London were chosen from more than 300 entries to participate in the semi-finals which take place at the ICC in Birmingham. Three schools then go through to the finals and, ultimately, the winner is announced.

Reaching the final six out of more than 300 choirs is an achievement to be proud of and the Godolphin Vocal Ensemble has successfully done this four times in the past five years!

The Vocal Ensemble will also be competing in the Barnardo's Choir of the Year Competition being held at the Barbican in London on March 3. They previously won this competition in 2011.
