Caterham School U14A Rounders Team are District Champions

Caterham School entered two teams in the district U14 rounders tournament that was held at Reigate Grammar School on 18 June.

Head of Girls Sport, Mrs Nat Lomas said: 'This was the girls first ever rounders tournament and so they were quite excited. Both teams had to face strong competition in their respective sections, particularly the U14B who played many 'A' teams. They showed great skill and team spirit to come second in their section. It was most unfortunate for them that they met our 'A' team in the semi final. Throughout the tournament the U14A batted strongly and their fielding was outstanding with Aislinn Flatley taking three consecutive catches and Katie Herbert cutting off quite a number of good hits. Both teams enjoyed themselves.'
