During the Easter break, 39 pupils and staff experienced the delights of Morocco for a week of adventures and cultural, geographical and historical delights. Highlights included visiting the Atlas mountains, trekking above the Dades Gorge, camel riding out into the Sahara Desert, sleeping under the stars at a traditional Berber camp, having a tour of the film studios in Ouarzazate, visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou (an old fortified city), seeing the sites of Marrakech, tasting a variety of Moroccan cuisine and haggling for presents in the souks. The scenery, weather and hospitality of our guides were all amazing and much was learned about this stunning country.
