Dear Friends and Visitors,

Welcome to Copenhagen International School! All guests are welcome whether your visit is in person or online.

Our mission is to educate champions of a just and sustainable world, an aim that CIS has been striving towards for many decades.

We are proud to be one of the six founding schools of the International Baccalaureate, and I am proud that we are now one of a handful of schools in Europe offering the full continuum of the IB curriculum. This means our school is home to children between the ages of 2 years 10 months, and 18 years, making it a wonderfully vibrant place.

We could claim that it is our annually excellent academic results that make CIS special but I believe it is much more than that.

At CIS, we support a diverse range of learning abilities with the knowledge that each child is special. Those who join our school are respected, supported, and celebrated for what makes them unique. We value diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, and a safe space for each of our students to thrive socially and emotionally.

In this way, we make learning personal at CIS, and we place a premium on collaboration with students, teachers, parents, and partners who aim to join us in fulfilling our mission. Our students become highly-skilled, increasingly internationally-minded, multilingual, and resilient. While I am proud of the excellent academic results earned at CIS, I am most proud of how CIS students become responsible citizens of their respective countries and our world. Our future needs and deserves them. I am convinced that CIS will play a pivotal role in helping contribute solutions towards significant world problems.

Copenhagen International School continues to grow towards 1,000 students representing almost 70 nationalities. We have a warm, diverse, and inviting community and I hope you will be part of it.

Even a brief visit to our school will demonstrate just how wonderfully unique CIS is. Whether you explore our rich history, share in our values, learn about an exciting upcoming event, or simply wish to see our world-class facilities, I am sure you will agree that CIS is more than a school: it is a remarkable community.
