St Columba's is an independent, non-denominational day school for children aged 3 to 18. We are one of Scotland's highest achieving schools, nestled in the beautiful town of Kilmacolm, near Glasgow. Here, we prepare our young people for the world in a warm and welcoming atmosphere where each pupil is known and recognised as an individual.

Welcome to St Columba’s School, a highly successful day school at the heart of the Inverclyde countryside.

Here children can grow and mature in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment, whilst developing the skills, confidence and resilience to prepare them for today’s rapidly changing society.

Positive relationships and inclusivity are at the heart of our culture. Our children are known by name and their individual strengths are fostered by our highly-qualified, professional and caring staff. Through our broad range of academic subjects and extra-curricular activities, we hope that all children will discover their personal talents and fulfil their potential.

We aspire to excellence in all that we do and aim to instil curiosity and a genuine love of learning. Our exam results consistently place us among the highest achieving Scottish independent schools, allowing our pupils access to the top universities in the UK and beyond. We also regularly celebrate regional, national and international representation in sport, music and debating. This culture leads our pupils to positive destinations and I never fail to be impressed when hearing of the exciting careers enjoyed by our global former pupil community.

Our core values of integrity, compassion and aspiration are central to the day-to-day running of the school and provide the framework for our vision for our future. We are committed to building on our success; to ensuring that our pupils have every opportunity to compete at the highest level and to providing the high-quality pastoral care needed to support the pressures of modern living.

I hope you will come to visit our school and give us an opportunity to demonstrate what we can offer you.

Victoria J. Reilly, Rector
